Babatunde Olatunji -
(April 7, 1927 - April 6, 2003) Grandfather of the modern drum
movement.
Originally from Nigeria, Baba was a master drummer and diplomat. He
played with Carlos Santana, The Grateful Dead, Mickey Hart, and many others. His
"Olatunji! Drums
of Passion" was inspirational to many. |

Arthur Hull - Father of the American drum movement.
Wrote "Drum Circle Spirit" Arthur
presided over our Grant Park drum circle in Chicago in summer, 2002. |

Mickey Hart - Former drummer with The Grateful Dead.
Wrote "Drumming At the Edge
of Magic" and other percussion oriented books. |

James McNally - Founder of AfroCelts and former
member of the Pogues. Joined in his
work by the likes of Peter Gabriel and Robert Plant, James is a planetary
musician on a
mission. |

John Yost - Major force/glue in the drum circle
movement/community, especially in the
Chicago area. |

Helen Bond - Dancer/drummer from a dance family.

Michael Taylor - Tam Tam Mandingue
